Members receive American Saddlebred magazine, Official Publication of the American Saddlebred Horse Association, a bi-monthly featuring the horses and people making news today, along with veterinary and legal commentary, history and a world of information on Saddlebreds. An added attraction is the magazine’s annual supplement, American Saddlebred Reference Directory, the statistical "Bible" of the breed.

Recognition and Prize Programs:
The American Saddlebred Horse Association sponsors a number of payback programs for breeders and exhibitors, including the Kentucky and National Futurities, the ASHA Sweepstakes and the Grand National.
Also available is the Independent Equine Agency $34,000 Breeders’ Reward. With corporate sponsor Independent Equine Agency, ASHA offers the Breeders’ Reward, which awards $1,000 each to the breeders of winners of 28 selected classes at the World’s Championship Horse Show, and $2,000 each to the breeders of the three World’s Grand Champions. The only requirement for the breeders is that they be members of the American Saddlebred Horse Association as of January 1 of the year of the show.
In addition to the programs administered by ASHA, many state organizations also offer futurities for American Saddlebreds.
ASHA conducts an Annual Convention and Youth Conference for the education and enjoyment of its members. They are held in conjunction with the Association’s Annual Meeting, in order to receive maximum communication from members regarding ASHA business. The Convention and Conference are usually scheduled for the first weekend in February, in Lexington, Kentucky.
