ASHA Funding Fall 2019 Business-Consulting Program for Saddlebred Businesses and Lesson Barns- Apply Today!

The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) is thrilled to announce our partnership with equine industry leading business consultant Elisabeth McMillan of “Equestrian Professional.com, the Horse Business Site”. Through the generosity of a private donor, the ASHA will be funding four grants for a six-month business development and support program for Saddlebred businesses.  This is an exciting business building and education opportunity to all interested Saddlebred barn business owners across the United States. ASHA is investing in our membership to help strengthen the promotion and representation of the American Saddlebred breed in more regions and markets.

Equestrian Professionals.com is the #1 horse business resource in the world with over 17,000  newsletter subscribers and members from 138 countries.  McMillan has over 35 years of experience in the horse world and is supported by an excellent team of equine business experts. She has consulted with hundreds of new and longtime equine business owners to make their operations successful and sustainable.

For this program, McMillan will work closely with the chosen Saddlebred business owners on topics such as business model innovation, construction of profit and loss statements, online marketing channels i.e. social media and website, client recruitment, client retention, public relations and much much more! In addition, grant recipients will also have a yearlong subscription to Equestrian Professional to continue benefiting from additional resources after the six months of personal sessions has ended. ASHA is seeking to benefit motivated and dedicated business owners who are excited to avail themselves of a fantastic opportunity to work with the horse industry’s leading horse business experts.

The applications form is available HERE. Applications will be accepted until end of business day on Thursday, September 26.  All applicants must complete in full and submit the application form to be considered. Our selected businesses will be notified by Monday, September 30 and can look forward to getting started by the first week of October. Each program will be evaluated at the end of the six–month period and a summary of key findings will be shared to benefit the membership at large.

If you have additional questions or request more information on this exciting opportunity, please contact David Mount at the ASHA (859) 259-3888 or Owen Weaver at (336) 408-9644.
