ASHBA Announces 12 & Under Walk and Trot Pleasure National Championship Program
The American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association (ASHBA) is creating a national championship program for Walk and Trot Pleasure 12 & Under. Last year, there were 184 classes held in the division nationwide with over 800 entries, making it the largest division without a world’s or national championship title. The program is complimentary to existing ASHBA programs such as the Alpha Classes and National Pleasure Equitation Championship.
“This is such an important class for our industry, which allows riders to get their start in the show ring. Many of these riders have gone on to have successful show ring careers,” says David Mount, ASHBA Executive Director.
“We are so pleased to address this segment which has a tremendous growth potential and look forward to giving it the acclaim it deserves,” says Anna Marie Knipp, ASHBA President. Stay tuned to www.saddlebred.com for future updates on this exciting new program.
