ASHBA Continues to Go Green – Option to Hold Certificate on File in Registry

In response to customer requests, ASHBA Registry Services is happy to announce a new “Go Green” option for registration certificates. Now, customers may request that registration certificates be held in the Registry instead of having them mailed to the owner. Not only does this new option cut ASHBA’s carbon footprint, but it also provides safekeeping for registration certificates.

Owners can indicate on our forms if they would like ASHBA to hold the registration certificate on file indefinitely. In the event that the horse is sold at a later date, a transfer form and fees can be submitted to the registry and we will match the certificate on file. If at any time you would like a hard copy of the papers, a written request can be submitted to the Registry sent by the owner to mail the certificate.

Please note that ASHBA members are able to access a Statement of Registration and Recorded Ownership for registered horses on our website under Horse Searches. Per United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Rule SB101, for your convenience, a copy of this document may be provided to competition management at licensed USEF competitions in lieu of copying an original Certificate of Registration.
