With show season in full swing ASHBA wanted to remind our members competing in Equitation that all registered American Saddlebred and Half-Saddlebred pleasure horses are eligible to compete in our ASHBA Pleasure Equitation National Finals hosted each year at the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show and most Pleasure Equitation classes at our breed shows. Currently, all Saddle Seat Equitation Classes are open to all breeds of horses, unless the class requirements state differently and make it breed specific. Learn more about the ASHBA National Pleasure Equitation Final today!

This ASHBA final is for members that have not reached their 18th birthday competing on horses that are registered with the American Saddlebred Registry or with the Half American Saddlebred Registry of America with full mane and tail with natural carriage.

To be eligible, the rider must have shown in at least three shows and competed in six classes. USEF, Medal, UPHA, NHS and all pleasure equitation classes can be counted toward qualification as long as a pleasure Saddlebred or Half American Saddlebred is ridden. The qualification season begins after the final is held.

We are honored to average fifteen excellent saddle seat pleasure equitation riders every year and are excited to continue to see this program grow in the future! If you are currently competing on a Saddle Seat pleasure horse with one full blooded American Saddlebred parent be sure to look in to registering them with the Half American Saddlebred Registry of America today so they are eligible to participate in this final. Meet the champions from the 2020 ASHA National Pleasure Equitation Finals!
