ASHBA Partners with American Royal to Welcome High School and Girl Scout Groups at UPHA American Royal Horse ShowDuring the UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show in Kansas City, ASHBA partnered with the American Royal to share the Saddlebred with local high school and Girl Scout groups. On the morning of Thursday, November 9th, two high school groups from Southland Caps received hands on learning about the American Saddlebreds showing at the American Royal facility. This group of students toured the barns and learned from trainers, riders, veterinarians, show staff and many more what it takes to put on a National Championship horse show and how to care for the Saddlebreds. A special thank you to Sandra Currier for assisting with the high school groups, and Joanna Been & Alyssa Curry for sharing their Saddlebreds. Later that evening, ASHBA welcomed over 100 Girl Scouts and their families to the show. Kelly Hulse provided an overview of the American Royal Horse show and the breed for the group, and then each group got to meet Royal Holiday aka Hollie from Five Field Farm with John Field. |
