ASHBA Welcomes 2023 New Directors and Officers

The American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association is proud to announce the 2023 Board of Directors officers, four board members returning for a second term, and one new member.

“I am excited to work with the 2023 directors, who are a representative board in geography and skill set, bringing a wealth of experience to our organization,” said ASHBA Executive Director/CEO David Mount.

Smith Lilly of Princeton, WV., will join the board of directors, bring his expertise as a trainer of American Saddlebreds as well as having served our industry through leadership positions with the United Professional Horsemen’s Association, ASHBA National Futurities Committee, and the United States Equestrian Federation.

Four current board members will return to the ASHBA Board of Directors for a second term: Kristen Bagdasarian (Versailles, Ky.); Bob Brison (New Bloomfield, Mo.); Larry Hartsock (Castlewood, Va.); and Anna Marie Knipp (Jefferson City, Mo.).

The following officers were elected at the Jan. 23 Board of Directors meeting:

President – Allen Bosworth (Greenville, SC)

Vice President – Joan Todd (Cincinnati, Oh)

Treasurer – Rachel Seifert (Versailles, Ky)

Secretary – Clif Paulsen (Cedar Falls, Ia)
