ASHBA Welcomes Ruby Tevis as Marketing & Communications Manager

The American Saddlebred Horse & Breeders Association (ASHBA) is pleased to announce the addition of Ruby Tevis as our Marketing & Communications Manager. In this role, she will be working to promote the American Saddlebred and generate growth and engagement with ASHBA.

“We are excited to have Ruby join our team at ASHBA. Her content creation, graphic design and social media experience, along with her passion for the American Saddlebred, will serve our Association well," said David Mount, ASHBA Executive Director.

Ruby comes to ASHBA graduating with a Marketing Communications degree from Midway University and several years experience working within the equine industry as a writer and graphic designer. With equestrian lifestyle publication Sidelines Magazine, Ruby served as Social Media Director for two years.

Ruby also has extensive volunteer experience working on the board of directors of the Kentucky Dressage Association to grow their youth program, and was recognized by the United States Dressage Federation as Youth Volunteer of the Year in 2019.

"I couldn't imagine a more perfect job! By combining my skills in marketing with my endless enthusiasm for the American Saddlebred, I look forward to growing and sharing the breed I love so much," said Ruby.

An accomplished FEI dressage rider, Ruby sought to combine her love of dressage with American Saddlebreds by acquiring a Saddlebred of her own in 2020. As the proud owner of "Carl" (Wine-N-Dine), Ruby hopes to represent the breed in the dressage ring and show the world the elegance and versatility of the American Saddlebred.
