Exciting News for Select Series National Championship: ASHBA Partners with John Deere Equine Discounts

The American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association (ASHBA) has announced a partnership with National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) Equine Discounts program to give away a John Deere X330 Lawn Tractor with a 42-in. deck as part of the Select Series National Championships scheduled for Sept. 12-16, 2023, at the All American Horse Classic in Indianapolis, Indiana. Now is the time to ensure your horse can show in these prestigious classes, as the deadline for qualification is Aug. 31, 2023.

Exhibitors who are at least 18 years of age and entered in the National Championship classes will be automatically eligible for the drawing. The drawing for the winner will take place on Sept. 16, 2023.No substitution, trade in, upgrade, or cash value allowed. Delivery must be made in the continental US. Winner is responsible for applicable taxes and tax reporting. No purchase necessary. Promotion is run by NTRA Advantage and has no connection to John Deere. 

Saddlebreds and Half Saddlebreds must be registered with the American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association (ASHBA) to participate in Select Series classes. These horses are eligible to show in the Select Series National Championships if the horse has qualified by showing in at least one Select Series class in 2023 the division in which the horse will show at the AAHC. Registered Saddlebreds and Half Saddlebreds who won any ribbon at any Regional Select Series Championship in 2022 also are eligible to participate in the National Championships this year.

Five-Gaited Amateur/Junior Exhibitor 

Open Pleasure Driving (qualifying classes include Country and Show Pleasure driving)

Three-Gaited Amateur/Junior Exhibitor

ASB Western Country Pleasure 

ASB Hunter Country Pleasure

Open Three-Gaited Park 

Three-Gaited Park Amateur/Junior Exhibitor

Open Walk/Trot Snaffle Bit (Open to any age, professional or amateur)

Five-Gaited Show Pleasure Amateur/Junior Exhibitor

Three-Gaited Show Pleasure Amateur/Junior Exhibitor 

Open In-Hand

Three-Gaited Country Pleasure Amateur/Junior Exhibitor

Open Fine Harness
