Meet all the Saddlebred Show Ring Possibilities in St. Louis

The St. Louis National Charity Horse Show continues its tradition of showcasing the American Saddlebreds show ring versatility this week, Sept. 25-28, at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis Missouri. St. Louis Charity is home to the ASHA National Pleasure Equitation Finals, ASR Four Year Old Hunter Sweepstakes and a wide array of western and hunter discipline finals sponsored by Saddle & Bridle Magazine. This year also welcomes the American Saddlebred .90 meter Jumper Stake.

The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) is proud to support the hosting of the ASHA National Pleasure Equitation Finals at the storied St. Louis National Charity Horse Show. Phase One and Phase Two of the Finals will take place on Thursday, Sept. 26. ASHA is proud of the history of what the ASHA Finals bring to the Pleasure Equitation and American Saddlebred community and will be sponsoring a $1,000 scholarship to this year’s winner, $500 scholarship for reserve and gifts to all of the remaining ASHA Finals competitors. Becker Brothers LLC has also generously contributed a custom shirt for both the reserve and third-place finishers.

For exhibitors converging at the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show, Saddlebred Week is filled with numerous exciting and prestigious events highlighting the breed’s versatility. Over 30 classes are offered in the western and hunt seat discipline for American Saddlebreds, with opportunity for clinics for both trail and working hunter entries to participate in at the show. In addition, St. Louis typically hosts five National Championship Events for American Saddlebred Pleasure Horses thanks to Saddle & Bridle magazine, and the beautiful Shatner Country Western Pleasure Championships culminating the week on Saturday night. For equitation enthusiasts, we are pleased to host the ASHA National Pleasure Equitation Finals, Saddle & Bridle Pleasure Medallion Finals, and MHSA Junior Saddle Seat Equitation Medallion. In addition, the show proudly hosts a Folds of Honor class for the Veteran Show Pleasure American Saddlebred that raises funds towards scholarships for families of veterans disabled or killed in the line of duty and a Saddle Up event to introduce the public to the pleasure of riding horses.
