Youth Events at World's Championship Horse Show

Don’t miss out on all the fun and educational activities ASHBA has planned for members at this year’s World’s Championship Horse Show. All ages are welcome to participate in a wide variety of activities throughout the week. We are thankful for the support of Sally Jackson and the US Equestrian Youth Sportsman’s Grant. With their help, ASHBA is proud to bring a full slate of fun, educational, and engaging youth activities.  

 Saturday 8/20 

  • 3:00 PM Junior Judging Clinic  
  • Learn what judges in center ring are looking for when crowning a World Champion!   Location: President's Room, 2nd Floor of Freedom Hall, Above ASHBA Office  No pre-registration required!  
  • 7:00 PM Horsing Around with Ellen Beard 
  • Drop-in for some fun and educational activities with Ellen Beard! Learn about the history of the American Saddlebred and what makes our industry so unique. Activities and crafts are available for all ages.   Location: President's Room, 2nd Floor of Freedom Hall, Above ASHBA Office  No pre-registration required!  

Sunday 8/21 

  • 4:30 PM Meet & Greet hosted by Elisabeth Goth  This is an opportunity you do not want to miss! Join ASHBA Youth Programs for a chance to meet Elisabeth Goth, and the reigning World’s Grand Champions.

  •  4:30 PM Golf Cart Contest/Parade  
  • It’s time to get creative! All ages are welcome. Golf carts to be judged in the following categories: Saddlebred Spirit, Barn Theme, Horse's Name.  A $20 entry fee will be collected online via ASHBA's Kindful Platform. All entry fees will directly contribute to ASHBA's Youth Scholarship Fund!  Submissions are due by 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 24. Please EMAIL a photo of your golf cart to Margaret Babiarz (M.Babiarz@Saddlebred.com) to be considered for prizes!  Parade and Awards Ceremony to commence at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, August 25th.
