Janian's Midsummer Knight

These horses have been honored with a donation to the American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association towards the technology upgrade, which will enhance the ASHBA website and help support the advancement of our breed.

knight_300.pngKnight was one of those special "once in a lifetime" horses. He and I learned new skills together--first in the western pleasure and working western divisions, which culminated in his winning all three divisions of the Shatner Finals, then in dressage and combined training, in which he proved again the versatility of the American Saddlebred. My favorite memories of Knight include him being the leadline horse for Justin Dijak; winning the Shatner Finals; going clean cross-country at both the Longview Horse Trials and the Queenie Park Horse Trials; trail riding with friends throughout Boone County, and teaching Lee Hulse how to ride. He was truly a once in a lifetime horse!

Show ring photos are fine, but we would prefer personal photos along with a short story of 100 words or less about a favorite memory of your horse. Please email Kimberly Skipton to submit your photos and stories.

Make a tax deductible donation of $200 to ASHBA to honor YOUR special horse on the Wall of Honor, or print out the nomination form (pdf).
