Half Saddlebred Futurity

The American Saddlebred community is proud to have a Half Saddlebred Futurity, a groundbreaking program designed to promote, reward, and expand the market for Half Saddlebreds. Inspired by the long-running success of the Arabian English Performance Association (AEPA) and Arabian Western Pleasure Association (AWPA), the futurity has set a goal to award up to $30,000 in annual prize money, making it one of the most lucrative programs in the show horse world.

  • Affordable entry points for new exhibitors and horse owners.
  • Increased show participation, helping fill classes and energize competitions.
  • Registry growth, encouraging more memberships and foal registrations.

 

How It Works:

  • Nominate: 
    Weanling: $150 Fee 
    Three-Year-Old Fine Harness: $200 Fee 

  • Classes: Classes with be held in both the Weanling Class and Three-Year-Old Fine Harness at the All American Classic on September 15th-19th, 2026.

  • Registration Guideline: All Weanlings and Three-Year Olds must be fully registered with ASHBA before attending and showing in the futurity classes. Completed registration entails DNA, Registration Paperwork, and Registered Name.
