2018 Kentucky State Fair World’s Championship Horse Show Youth Announcements
Join us at the World’s Championship Horse Show 2018 for Hats off to ASHA Youth with free hats for youth participants and lots of great prizes!
World Champion Youth – Earn points participating in the ASHA youth activities during the week and helping to promote the American Saddlebred! the world champion youth will win a “Show Package” which includes a shirt, tie and vest from Becker Brothers, a 16x20 color print from Howard Schatzberg photography and a full color ad from saddle horse report.
Breakfast with Champions – Join us for breakfast with the riders/trainers of some of our past World’s Grand Champions – Thursday at 8:30 a.m.-Youth only please RSVP to [email protected]
Jr. Judging Clinic – Meet Betsy Boone, trainer and judge who has judged some of the largest shows in our industry and see how she chooses the winners –Saturday evening, august 18th at 5:30 p.m. in the Saddlebred Center- Please RSVP to [email protected]
Youth to Youth Scavenger Hunt – Search for your peers throughout the show grounds and have them introduce you to their horse and pick up a prize; earn points toward drawing- Sunday, and Monday
Jr. Judging – Three Sessions:Sunday Evening, Tuesday Morning & Friday Morning with ribbon presentation and awards for winners in 13 and under and 14-20 divisions on Friday evening in center ring
Barn Bingo – Travel from barn to barn and meet the trainers of WGC American Saddlebreds – Tuesday and Wednesday
Golf Cart Decorating Contest – Decorate your golf cart and enter it in our contest $20 Entry fee per cart – proceeds benefit ASHA Youth Scholarships. judging is Thursday at noon
Photo booth with the 2017 WCG – Make a selfie with the 2017 5-Gaited, 3-Gaited and Fine Harness World’s Grand Champions in the ASHA Saddlebred Center in Freedom Hall. daily
Earn Extra Points for volunteering a minimum of 3 hours at the ASHA booth in the South Wing. Share your knowledge of the American Saddlebred with those visiting the Agriculture Booths at the KY State Fair. RSVP to Brenda newell at [email protected].
