2020 ASHA Major Award Nominations Due Thursday

2019 ASHA Wing Commander Medal Recipient Carson Kressley

The opportunity to celebrate and honor the members making a profound impact on the American Saddlebred community has arrived. ASHA Major Award nominations are due this week, Thursday October 25. These prestigious awards celebrate a wide array of ASHA members for their contributions to the breed. These awards rely solely on the submissions of our membership to create the candidate pool! Do you know an ASHA member that is always the embodiment of sportsmanship? Influences and promotes the American Saddlebred internationally? Is a remarkable young junior exhibitor in and out of the ring?  Is a family that has dedicated themselves to improving the American Saddlebred for generations? Yes, then please take the time to follow the links below and nominate these ASHA members for one of the many ASHA Major Awards for 2020.

Thursday, October 25, 2019, is the deadline for ASHA members to submit their nominations for the 2020 ASHA Major Awards that are to be awarded at the 2020 UPHA/ASHA National Conference in Lexington, KY. All current ASHA members are eligible to submit nominations. The descriptions and criteria can be found on the ASHA Year End Award page.

All nominations must be done via the forms provided under each of the award listed. Please fill out the form to completion, explaining in detail why an individual is deserving of a specific award. A nominator can only nominate a nominee for one (1) award. Current ASHA board members are not eligible to receive an award.

The Wing Commander Medal of Honor recipients receive a polished brass Wing Commander Medal of Honor, which is affixed to a grey and maroon ribbon. All other award winners receive a custom-crafted silver julep cup, and the Ogletree Youth winner will also receive a lifetime membership to ASHA.

Please return nomination forms to ASHA, c/o Brenda Newell, 4083 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington, KY 40511, by fax to 859/259-1628, or email to [email protected]; please be sure to include “Award Nomination” in the subject line
