The American Saddlebred Horse Association Seeks Executive Director

LEXINGTON, KY (March 16, 2018) – The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) is currently seeking to hire its next Executive Director. Founded in 1871, the ASHA’s mission is to safeguard the integrity of the American Saddlebred breed, to promote the use of American Saddlebreds, and to expand the public knowledge of the American Saddlebred. Located at the Kentucky Horse Park, the ASHA is a non-­-profit organization exempt from tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Executive Director serves as the chief of staff of the ASHA, with the overall responsibility for the administration and management of programs and staff of the ASHA. Develops and administers, with the Board of Directors, the strategic goals to achieve the overall mission. Responsible for education, promotion, and marketing efforts, including development and fundraising activities. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors of the ASHA. Initial screening of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
