American Saddlebred Registry Is Now Offering Microchips

The American Saddlebred Registry (ASR) is pleased to announce that we will be offering Datamars Equine Slim microchips for purchase here.

Please note that microchipping is not a Registry requirement. Datamars microchips are also being used by the American Jockey Club, Turkish Jockey Club, and the Dutch Stud Book.  The price for one microchip is $17.50, two to ten are $15.00 each, and eleven or more are $12.50 each.

The ASR will record microchip numbers in our database upon receipt of a properly completed microchip recording form that will be mailed with the microchip.  Once recorded in our database, the microchip number will automatically appear on the horse’s registration certificate at the time of printing and under the Horse Search option on our website.  The ASR recommends that you have a licensed veterinarian implant the microchip.
