American Saddlebreds Shine at a “Time to Ride”
The 2018 St. Louis National Charity Horse Show hosted a Time to Ride® event for up to 1000 children Saturday, September 22 before the Saddlebred and Hackney show began. It was a free event open to children ages 3-14 years and their families. The purpose of the event was to introduce children to the joy of equestrian sports by giving them a riding experience. Additional activities included a horse breed demonstration that was held twice during the day. The event was interactive and had children not only riding but meeting and understanding the horses from the ground level.
Several American Saddlebred barns from the St. Louis area came out to #SharetheSaddlebred at the event with Amy Ehrhardt and her Rock Creek Stables of High Ridge, Missouri distributing ASHA promotional material and raffled off two introductory lessons. Symphony Bay (131284M) was a tremendous ambassador of the breed and safely introduced every guest to the joy of riding an American Saddlebred. Every child left with a smile and a new friend in Symphony Bay (131284M).
