ASHA and ASR Updating Historic Horse Records and Photos

Thanks to the volunteerism of Rebecca Damron and Louise Gilliland and the work of ASHA and ASR staff we are currently in the process of updating many-registered American Saddlebred’s show results and adding photos to their records available at www.saddlebred.com

Damron and Gilliland came to the ASHA earlier this year with a proposal to assist us in bolstering our website’s benefit to members and enhancing the historical record-keeping of American Saddlebreds form the past. Damron and Gilliland both have extensive collections of historical Saddlebred photos and show records from competitions across the years and the country. Each has a long history of American Saddlebred pedigree analysis and study, having both been responsible for several sire ratings with national publications. Their ability and desire to assist in maintaining and building on the historical data that is immensely valuable to the ASHA and ASR as well as our members that are breeders, exhibitors, trainers, and fans of our beloved breed. These passionate American Saddlebred lovers and dedicated volunteers donated both their services and expertise to assist the greater American Saddlebred community and us.

Some American Saddlebreds you can enjoy seeing updated records for and new multimedia images for are CH My Golden Dawn, CH Miss Dixie Rebel, CH Kentucky’s Best, and CH Crebilly’s Wild Sensation. More are being updated daily. We are excited to continue adding enhancements such as this and other advancements on behalf of members and the breed.
