ASHA Board Votes to Create Youth Task Force
During the American Saddlebred Horse Association’s (ASHA) mid-year Board of Directors meeting it passed by unanimous vote to create a Youth Initiative Task Force. This task force co-chaired by Elisabeth Goth and Clif Paulsen, DVM will work to identify ways and develop initiatives to engage, retain and capture more American Saddlebred enthusiasts in the 18-25 year old age demographic.
The team of Goth and Paulson along with other task force members Kristen Bagdasarian and Emily Lee will create a work group to address current and potential opportunities in the equestrian community for ASHA Youth. The task force will look at initiatives to increase engagement through competition, education, governance, and collegiate programs. Findings and recommendations will be presented to the ASHA Board of Directors for further consideration and action.
We look forward to continue to update the membership on this exciting development for our members and the American Saddlebred horse.
