February 23, 2026: Lexington, KY – The American Saddlebred Horse & Breeders Association (ASHBA) proudly recognized its 2025 Fundraisers of the Year, presented at the Saddlebred Celebrations Luncheon during the 2026 ASHBA Annual Convention.

The Fundraisers of the Year Award recognizes individuals whose leadership, initiative, and commitment generated meaningful financial support for the Association and strengthened its ability to serve members, advance programs, and protect the future of the American Saddlebred. This distinction honors those who step forward, build relationships, and secure resources that directly impact the organization’s success and sustainability.

This year’s honorees collectively raised nearly $550,000 in support of ASHBA’s mission. Those recognized include Jennifer Dixon, Smith Lilly, Malissa Welke, Katherine Hansil, Chris Schubert, Erin Eichenbaum, Kristen Bagdasarian, Sally Jackson, Gen Hess, and Linda Stone. The top two fundraisers recognized were Jennifer Dixon and Kristen Bagdasarian.

Their combined efforts reflect not only impressive results, but also a deep belief in the importance of investing in the breed, the community, and the long-term strength of the Association. Through personal outreach, leadership, and dedication, each of these individuals played a vital role in generating the support necessary to move key priorities forward.

“Fundraising is one of the clearest expressions of leadership because it requires vision, trust, and the willingness to advocate for something bigger than yourself,” said Smith Lilly, Immediate Past President of ASHBA, who presented the recognition. “This group did exactly that. Their commitment, credibility, and persistence created opportunities that will benefit this Association and our industry well into the future.”

The Fundraisers of the Year exemplify the spirit of service and stewardship that drives the organization forward, demonstrating how individual initiative can create collective impact for the American Saddlebred community.
