ASHBA Introduces Founders’ Circle, Honoring Inaugural Leadership Supporters

February 23, 2026: Lexington, KY – The American Saddlebred Horse & Breeders Association (ASHBA) proudly introduced the Founders’ Circle at the Major Awards Ceremony during the 2026 ASHBA Annual Convention, recognizing a distinguished group of inaugural supporters whose leadership investment strengthens the very foundation of the organization. The recognition was presented by Chris Schubert.
The Founders’ Circle was established to support the essential, behind-the-scenes work that sustains the Association’s mission. While programs and events are highly visible, the strength of ASHBA depends on its operational backbone: its registry, records, technology systems, staff leadership, and infrastructure that ensure stability, credibility, and long-term excellence.
This inaugural group has demonstrated extraordinary commitment through structured three-year pledges totaling $530,000 annually, representing $1,590,000 in leadership support. Their investment reflects a belief that strong institutions are built not only through vision, but through sustained and thoughtful stewardship.
The inaugural members of the Founders’ Circle include Sally Jackson, Grace Arnold, Diane Sembler Kamins, Gen Hess (Fluid Film), Mary Gaylord, Erin Eichenbaum, Nancy Ehle, Joe O’Brien and Melissa Moore, Rachel Seifert, and Diego Miron and Patricia Miron.
“The Founders’ Circle represents leadership at its most foundational level,” said Smith Lilly, Immediate Past President of ASHBA. “Their commitment strengthens the systems, people, and structure that allow this Association to serve the American Saddlebred community with excellence and integrity.”
Through their vision and investment, these leaders have reinforced the core of the Association, ensuring that ASHBA remains strong, stable, and prepared to support the breed and its community for years to come.
