ASR Featured Form
The Name Claiming form is a relatively new form that gives the option to submit a name for your horse at a later date. If there are no name choices listed on the application for registration at the time of submission, the ASR will complete the registration process (registration number and a place holder identification will be assigned, i.e. 2018 foal of Sally Sue) provided all other requirements for registration are met. Owners of unnamed “registered” horses will be required to submit a Name Claiming form along with a Name Claim fee before the Certificate of Registration will be issued.
Starting with the 2019 foal crop, the name claiming process as it relates to horse shows will change; a name must be claimed 30 days prior to the horse show entry closing deadline. A Rush Fee of $100.00 will be assessed by ASR, if a name is not claimed 30 days prior to the horse show entry closing deadline. Effective 2019 foal crop.
The ASR will not record any further transactions concerning an unnamed animal until a name has been officially claimed.
