ASR Sweepstakes and Futurities to Explore Venue Options for 2020

The Kentucky State Fair Board submitted a proposal to the Governor’s Office last week for the Fair and Horse Show and anticipate hearing back from the Governor’s Office in mid-June. “If the Governor decides not to move forward with the Fair and Horse Show, the Sweepstakes and Futurity Committees will meet immediately after the announcement to look at alternative locations for 2020,” said ASR President Sandy Currier. 

The ASR Sweepstakes and Futurity Committees will explore alternative venue options in the event that the Kentucky State Fair and World’s Championship Horse Show are canceled in 2020. 

The ASR Prize Programs held at the World’s Championship Horse Show include the ASR Amateur Futurity of Kentucky, ASR Futurity of Kentucky, ASR National Three-Year-Old Futurity and ASR Four-Year-Old Sweepstakes.  More information will be made available later this month.
