Behind the Saddlebred Scenes Horse Show Spotlight: 2020 Bridlespur Horse Show

This past #SaddlebredSaturday the ASHA took a virtual visit to the 2020 Bridlespur Kick-Off Horse Show in Missouri. Bridlespur took over the ASHA Instagram for the day with the help of Katie Cunnigham Hass and gave us a Behind the Saddlebred Scenes perspective of planning, attending, and enjoying a horse show with COVID-19 protocols in 2020! We thank Bridlespur Show Manager David Tuffy Owens, Jean Muturx and the great horse show organizing team that made Bridlespur possible this year. Watch the video above for testimonials from David Tuffy Owens from the organizing perspective and Stephanie French from the horse show mom and exhibitor perspective. Bridlespur was the first horse show for us back in the "Show Me State" and it proved to be a stellar example for all that will follow. We enjoyed hearing how this USEF Licensed competition through careful planning and great exhibitor support was fun and safe for all!

Small adjustments, organizational changes, and courtesies helped make the show meet all of the COVID protocols while easily being managed by trainers and exhibitors. Whether it was changing the outlay of rail side seating or having an extra changing room on opposite sides of your aisle way ASHA members found a way to make the most of a new normal. We are proud to see that ASHA competitions and members can stay #SaddlebredStrong during these unprecedented times and chase their joy for the love of the horse and enjoyment of our breed community. ASHA looks forward to seeing more Saddlebred Smiles as the re-opening of show season continues next week!
