In a Challenging Year, Robertson Equine Provides Large Offering of Extraordinary Consignments

(Shelbyville, Ky.) “Two current world’s champions, a host of exceptional broodmares and stallions, a crop of stellar

Hackney ponies — and those are among more than 200 entries that are as appealing as we’ve seen in one sale,”

RES President Jimmy Robertson answered in response to the question he’s been hearing often: “What’s in your

autumn sale?”

Elisabeth Goth LLC’s production sale of almost 50 entries includes exquisitely bred colts and fillies, as well as

current world’s champions Big City Bill and Heidi. CH Nutorious – the many-times world’s champion by top sire

Undulata’s Nutcracker – will be presented under Matt Shiflet Stables’ direction. More than 20 ponies from the

illustrious Heartland Hackney Farm’s breeding program will be presented by agent Majestic Oaks Hackney Stables,

under Rich and Maureen Campbell’s direction; and, a complete dispersal of the storied Happy Valley Farms,

Rossville, Ga., will include close to 70 horses in various stages of development, including horses in training and

breeding stock. The Happy Valley horses are from the late famed proprietor Marion “Bit” Hutcheson’s lifetime of

work in the Saddlebred business.

A week’s stay at Linda Bennett’s world-class villa in St. Lucia, with many perks, is available to the highest bidder on

Friday; proceeds benefit the Dr. Scott Bennett Scholarship in Equine Veterinary Medicine At The Ohio State

University. Another interesting consignment is a 1997 Freightliner and a 1983 11-horse trailer, consigned from

Michael Beasom.
