Charleston, WV – [December 2025] – Coventry Woods Stables proudly announces that rider Charli Perdue has achieved the distinction of becoming a Level 6 Saddle Time graduate, marking the completion of nearly two years of dedicated training and saddle hours.

Perdue, who has been riding for two and a half years under the instruction of Lisa Lawrence, earned the majority of her hours through lessons at the Charleston-based stable. “I enjoyed having short-term goals with finishing each level and long-term goals with finishing the program  and becoming a better rider with every lesson,” said Perdue. “With each level, I wanted  to reach the next one even faster.”

Her journey has been defined by a love for the American Saddlebred, a breed she describes as “confident and elegant.” That passion grew into partnership with her favorite horse, Madeira’s Love (“Rose”). Despite not being ridden or shown in over 14 years, Rose carried Perdue through her first show season, earning 13 blue ribbons and three high point awards. Rose is now helping Charli’s sister, Lauren, enjoy a winning debut season of her own.

Looking ahead, Perdue hopes to expand her involvement in the Saddlebred community by participating in Junior Judging.

Coventry Woods Stables celebrates Charli Perdue’s Level 6 Saddle Time graduation as a testament to her dedication, the guidance of her instructor, and the versatility of the American Saddlebred breed.
