Deadline to Submit Futurity Declaration of Intent to Show for 2018 ASR Futurity Classes

The deadline to submit a Declaration of Intent to Show and starting fees, for nominated horses entered to show in the 2018 ASR Futurity classes at the World’s Championship Horse Show, is 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 18, 2018. 

Please be advised – Failure to declare and pay the starting fee by the above deadline will result in an ADDED $500 penalty per entry, per class. The added penalty is in addition to the declaration starting fees.

In order to avoid unnecessary splitting of classes, please be sure to scratch horses that will not be showing in a futurity class with the Kentucky State Fair Horse Show Office.

If the National 3-Year-Old Futurity Three-Gaited, Five-Gaited, Three-Gaited Park or Three-Gaited Park Pleasure classes are split, only entries in the elimination classes will be stripped and not the Finals.   If the above divisions have 20 or more declared entries, the classes shall be divided as equally as possible into two sections.  Classes will be split in the Kentucky Futurity 2-Year-Old and National 3-Year-Old Futurity Fine Harness divisions, if there are 12 or more declared entries.

For all In-Hand classes, if you miss your assigned position to show, your horse will automatically be disqualified.

Per USEF Rule SB174 Attendants - Handlers and attendants may carry or use a whip not exceeding 6’ including lash; the lash shall not have been altered in any way except no more than two ribbons streamers attached that are eight inches or less in length.  

Per USEF Rule SB103.6 General, Soundness, and Welfare– No horse may compete in a class in the American Saddlebred Division with any chemical or other irritant of any kind present to alter the horse’s tail carriage.

Owners, riders, drivers, handlers, and trainers of horses showing at USEF licensed competitions, in all American Saddlebred sections, must be current competing members with ASHA.
