From the Desk of Marty Schaffel: The Members Have Spoken

ASHA members voted again this year for the open seats on the Board of Directors. An independent auditor tallied your votes. The results were announced. Thank you to all members who cast their votes.

The following board members were voted on to remain another term:

Kristen Bagdasarian Emily Lee Joan Lurie Evan Orr Owen Weaver

You also voted in a new member to the board, Ali DeGray

I feel honored and privileged to serve with such great members of our association! ASHA is truly blessed to have these people give so much of their time and resources.

I also want to sincerely thank outgoing board member Joe O’Brien for his time and service. Joe has given generously of his time and assets. Joe has truly been a great mentor to all of us. He helped us tackle some very challenging issues unselfishly! I will miss his counsel and wisdom at our meetings.

Lastly, I want to thank the current board members for their financial sacrifices to our association. So far this year, your board of directors has donated over $57,000.00 to ASHA. Your board members not only have given countless hours of their time but also substantial amounts of their personal funds.

We are all beneficiaries of their generosity.

I wish I had the words to describe the care and passion this group has devoted to our cause. We could never have come so far this year without them.

And thank you to all members for casting your votes and making your voices heard. Your vote mattered.

Marty Schaffel, ASHA Interim PresidentÂ
