ASHBA Received over 50 Applications for Executive Director Position; Applications are now closed

The ASHBA posted that it is recruiting for its vacant Executive Director position on November 22nd and received applications until December 15. We received over 50 applications for this position. The Search Committee chaired by Board member Joe O’Brien and consisting of Board members James Nichols and Sandy Currier with ASHBA members Betsy Boone, Cece Hagan, and Priscilla Marconi are now reviewing those applications to select the best candidates for interviews. ASHBA president-elect Chris Schubert also serves on the committee as a non-voting member. The ASHBA hopes to have a new Executive Director named in February.

Former Executive Director David Mount’s last day was December 10th. Registrar Katriona Adams is serving as interim Executive Director. A transition committee, made up of Board members Allen Bosworth, Chris Schubert, Rachel Seifert, and Malissa Welke, meets with the staff weekly and has individual meetings with each staff member as well.
