February 23, 2026: Lexington, KY – The American Saddlebred Horse & Breeders Association (ASHBA) proudly recognized High Caliber Stables as the recipient of the 2025 Innovation Award, presented at the Saddlebred Celebrations Luncheon during the 2026 ASHBA Annual Convention.

The Innovation Award recognizes a program or event that brings fresh thinking to the American Saddlebred community and creates new ways for people to engage, connect, and support the breed.

This year’s Innovation Award is presented to High Caliber Stables for a single, thoughtfully designed event that combined creativity, community, and purpose.

High Caliber brought together the Saddlebred Celebrities and even a taco truck and blended this into one cohesive experience that energized the grounds and welcomed participation from across the community. The event drew hundreds of people together and raised over $150,000 for William Woods University, demonstrating what is possible when innovation is paired with strong execution.

What made this event truly stand out was the atmosphere it created. Parents and families lined up chairs at the show to watch, cheer, and support, turning the event into a shared experience that felt inclusive, fun, and celebratory. It was not just a fundraiser, it was a moment of connection that brought new energy to the community and created lasting memories, all for the love of the American Saddlebred horse.

High Caliber showed that innovation does not require complexity. It requires vision, a willingness to try something different, and a focus on bringing people together around a shared purpose.

“For their creativity, leadership, and meaningful impact, it is our honor to present the Innovation Award to High Caliber Stables,” said Smith Lilly, Immediate Past President of ASHBA, who presented the award.
