Important Announcement with Updates from the World’s Championship Horse Show

The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) has been informed by the Kentucky State Fair Board that two additional training days have been approved for the 2019 World’s Championship Horse Show.  Freedom Hall will be open on August 15-16 so competitors can prepare for the event.  During those two days the ring will close at both 7:30am and 5:00pm for maintenance and cleaning.  There will be no additional days of classes added to the schedule.

The ASHA has been working closely with the WCHS Advisory Committee and the Kentucky State Fair Board to ensure that our membership’s concerns are heard.  The Fair Committee, along with our representative Hoppy Bennet and manager Scarlett Mattson are working on projects to provide an enhanced customer experience for all exhibitors and spectators.  Throughout this process the ASHA will continue to communicate and promote the future improvement of the show for the satisfaction of our membership and for the betterment of the American Saddlebred breed.
