Important Message from Kentucky Venues for WCHS Competitors (Aug. 22)

“The safety and health of our guests at the Kentucky State Fair and World’s Championship Horse Show is and continues to be our utmost priority. We are working in coordination with the Kentucky State Police and Louisville Metro Police Department to ensure the safety and security of guests on our property. We have various forms of security personnel spread across our property and partner agencies in the neighboring area who we are communicating with continually. The Kentucky State Fair Board Police Force brings decades of security and law-enforcement expertise to our team, and they are managing the on-site operations. We have a committed team focusing on daily operations and proactively receiving intelligence about the ongoing civil unrest in the city.

In addition to security, our efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19 include reducing the show to a participant-only event, implementing a mask mandate for everyone on property, requiring daily temperature screenings, and limiting access to our facility to those with the correct credentials.

We are monitoring the ongoing changes in our area and will keep everyone on the property and participants in-route to the show informed of changes as they are made. Please continue to follow our social media accounts and check your email for future communications."

2020 WCHS attendees while on property remember to call Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) Security 502-367-5360 if you have concerns about suspicious activity or to report a crime.
