Jacqueline Schatzberg Receives Frank Ogletree Youth Award

February 23, 2026: Lexington, KY – The American Saddlebred Horse & Breeders Association (ASHBA) proudly recognized Jacqueline Schatzberg as the 2025 recipient of the Frank Ogletree Youth Award, presented by Christy Parker at the Major Awards Ceremony during the 2026 ASHBA Annual Convention.
The Frank Ogletree Youth Award honors a young equestrian whose talent, dedication, and character reflect excellence both in and out of the show ring. Jacqueline Schatzberg exemplifies those qualities through her remarkable competitive achievements and commitment to service.
Beginning in the academy division at just four years old, Schatzberg has grown into a versatile rider competing successfully across multiple breeds, including Morgans, Saddlebreds, Hackneys, and Arabians. In 2020, she made history as the first equitation rider to earn world or national titles in the same year across three different breeds, capturing championships at the Kentucky State Fair, Arabian Youth Nationals, and the Morgan Grand National.
Beyond her competitive success, Schatzberg is recognized for her integrity and leadership. For nine years, she has participated in the UPHA Ribbons of Service Program, raising more than $70,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She now serves as a Ribbons of Service Mentor and is active on both the ASHBA and AMHA Youth Councils, supporting and inspiring fellow young riders.
“Jacqueline represents the future of our industry,” said Smith Lilly, Immediate Past President of ASHBA. “Her achievements, character, and dedication to service reflect the very spirit of this award.”
Through talent, leadership, and generosity, Jacqueline Schatzberg stands as a deserving recipient of the Frank Ogletree Youth Award.
