The ASHA is joining the global movement of #GivingTuesdayNow to name COVID-19 Related Relief Efforts in our community. At this point in time we are supporting the efforts of the ASHA Equine Welfare Advocacy Committee Fundraiser and the Joint Leadership Council Horsemen's Relief Fund to help promote the work they are doing to lend a helping hand to horses and horsemen in need. #GivingTuesdayNow is Tuesday, May 5. If you are able please consider giving to one of these very important funds that will be helping our community as we navigate through this uncertain time.
ASHA Equine Welfare Advocacy Committee Fundraiser
The ASHA Equine Welfare Advocacy Committee (EWAC) needs your immediate help to assure they can assist the near 20 American Saddlebreds that have been legally seized in Boyle County, Kentucky. EWAC is launching a fundraiser to develop much needed funds to assist these horses. They are asking anyone who is able to contribute to their fundraiser today at the link here and support their efforts to help the American Saddlebreds in legal welfare cases. EWAC is a 501c3, and contributions may be tax deductible.
EWAC is working hard right now to aid the legal authorities in the care of these American Saddlebreds and preparing for additional needed support in other public welfare cases. Recent legal seizures and public welfare cases involving American Saddlebreds have caused a heavy strain on the EWAC funds. In light of the current global circumstances, they only foresee that the number of American Saddlebreds in need of assistance from EWAC will increase and they want to be prepared and able to answer the call of any legal authorities that seek their assistance.
