Scarlett Mattson, Horse Show Manager, stated that the qualifying period for the Kentucky State Fair World’s Championship Horse Show will return to the original time frame – July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.  The points and shows that were held from July 1, 2017 to July 15, 2017 that were counted for qualifying last year will also be counted for qualifying for 2018.

Managers and/or secretaries MUST record their show with the American Saddlebred Horse Association in order for the show to count for points. This is to be done at least two (2) weeks before the start of the show. The secretary or the manager of said competition is responsible for sending in the results to the ASHA within ten (10) days after the competition and by the closing date of the qualifying period. Results will not be accepted (regardless of the postmark or meter date) by the ASHA that are received in the office after the closing date of the qualifying period. The ASHA Recording Form for doing this is on the ASHA website under: About Us – ASHA Forms – Show/Competition – Competition Recording Form.
