February 23, 2026: Lexington, KY – The American Saddlebred Horse & Breeders Association (ASHBA) proudly recognized Knollwood Farm as the 2025 Program of the Year, presented at the Saddlebred Celebrations Luncheon during the 2026 ASHBA Annual Convention.

The Program of the Year Award honors an organization whose initiative demonstrates excellence, measurable impact, and a meaningful contribution to the future of the American Saddlebred. This distinction recognizes programs that not only succeed in the present, but also invest in the long-term strength and sustainability of the breed and its community.

Knollwood Farm was selected for its outstanding youth camps, which provide young riders with high-quality instruction, a strong foundation in horsemanship, and a positive, encouraging environment in which to learn and grow. Through these programs, participants gain technical skills, confidence, and lasting connections to the American Saddlebred, helping cultivate the next generation of horsemen and horsewomen.

The farm’s commitment to youth development reflects a broader dedication to the future of the industry. By offering programming that is structured, welcoming, and educational, Knollwood Farm has created opportunities that expand access, build enthusiasm, and strengthen long-term engagement within the Saddlebred community.

“Programs like this shape the future of our breed by investing in young people and giving them the tools to succeed,” said Smith Lilly, Immediate Past President of ASHBA, who presented the award. “Knollwood Farm has demonstrated what thoughtful programming and genuine commitment can accomplish.”

Their work stands as an example of how strong educational experiences can inspire participation, foster passion, and build the foundation for continued growth across the American Saddlebred industry.
