KY Releases Horse Show COVID-19 Healthy at Work Protocols

In preparation for the June 8, 2020 re-opening of horse shows and competitions in the state of Kentucky. The state published the following “Healthy at Work” Requirements specifically detailed for horse shows and equine competitions. These protocols are available below in both English and Spanish. Requirements are for all level, discipline and breed competitions in the state of Kentucky. We hope these can be helpful to members competing in and out of the state of Kentucky.

Also, we understand that horse shows and competition environments can vary significantly from level to breeds and disciplines. ASHA encourages our members to consider this when reviewing these requirements, especially with the stabling and trailer distancing requirements. Many equine competitions in Kentucky have exhibitor, horse, and stabling/trailer areas very different from a typical American Saddlebred breed show.
