Motivation Monday: Social Distancing Horse Shows, We Can Do It!
Saddlebred Smiles and social distancing safety were on display at the first jewel of our Triple Crown show series, the 84th Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show. We visited with several barns from across the country and asked how their barns were handling the social distancing horse show environment in 2020. Overwhelmingly the theme was it may be different, but we can do it and the protocols are worth being able to show our Saddlebreds again. Thank you to everyone that is doing their part to make sure we all get to #sharethesaddlebred, chase our #asbdreams, and have a healthy horse show!
Saddlebred breed shows have been back in business for over a month now. While we are seeing a wide degree of COVID safety protocols and social distancing guidelines, there is overwhelming gratitude that we are one of the very few sports being permitted to hold events and do what we love. As our show season continues to progress we are proud to know ASHA members can answer the call and follow state guidelines to assure our major horse shows are able to continue across the country.
