Shadow Run, LLC and Fair Island Farm Inducted into Breeders Hall of Fame

February 23, 2026: Lexington, KY – The American Saddlebred Horse & Breeders Association (ASHBA) proudly inducted Shadow Run, LLC and Fair Island Farm, Inc. into the 2025 ASHBA Breeders Hall of Fame. The honor was presented by Kristen Bagdasarian at the Major Awards Ceremony during the 2026 ASHBA Annual Convention.
The Breeders Hall of Fame recognizes individuals and programs whose lifetime commitment, vision, and dedication have made a lasting impact on the advancement of the American Saddlebred breed.
Shadow Run, LLC, led by Nancy and the late Bill Becker, built upon a legacy that began at Spring Valley Farms in South Carolina, where Bill played a role in producing influential champions including Sure Fire, Havana Hijack, and Spring Valley’s Deliverance. In Kentucky, Shadow Run continued that success, producing notable champions such as Vera Wang and the accomplished broodmare She’s In Style.
In 2012, a partnership with Art Zubrod and Leah Cheverie of Fair Island Farm strengthened and expanded that legacy. Over the past decade, their collaboration has produced World Champion of Champions, World Champions, Reserve World Champions, and National Champions, earning 26 ASHBA World Champion Breeders Awards. Through thoughtful breeding practices and long-term planning, their program continues to shape future generations of the breed.
“Programs like Shadow Run and Fair Island Farm represent the long-term vision and excellence that sustain our industry,” said Smith Lilly, Immediate Past President of ASHBA. “Their dedication to quality and continuity has left a lasting imprint on the American Saddlebred.”
With deep respect for their enduring contributions, ASHBA proudly welcomes Shadow Run, LLC and Fair Island Farm into the Breeders Hall of Fame.
