Sport Horse Qualification Modifications Approved by ASR Board

The American Saddlebred Registry (ASR) Board voted during the July board meeting to make modifications to the qualifying requirements for the 2020 Sport Horse Year End Awards and the Distance Horse National Championships. These changes relate immediately for the 2020 qualifying criteria for the Sport Horse Year End Awards Program and to the 50 mile and 30 mile ASR Championship rides at the Distance Horse National Championships. 

2020 ASR Sport Horse Year End Awards

The modifications approved for the 2020 Sport Horse Year End Awards are to reduce the minimum qualifying requirements for all disciplines by half for the number of scores/rides, competitions/events/rides and judges.  

2020 Distance Horse National Championships 

50 Mile ASR Championship

For 2020 ASR will reduce the number of qualifying endurance rides from two to one AERC ride of 50 miles or more completed prior to the start of the Championship.  

30 Mile ASR Championship

For 2020 ASR will reduce the number of qualifying Endurance rides from two to one AERC ride of 30 miles or more completed prior to the start of the Championship.
