Staff Spotlight: Patricia Edwards
Patricia Edwards is the Senior Associate Program Manager for the American Saddlebred Horse Association and American Saddlebred Registry. She has been an important member of our team since 1996. She works every day to provide customer service and support to ASHA members and ASR customers. Patricia began as a data entry clerk and over the years, she has helped with many other jobs including registering foals, transfer of ownership, and ASHA membership. Currently she assists the American Saddlebred community through managing the ASR Prize Programs and recording ASHA competition results.
Although Patricia is not an equestrian, she is a dedicated animal lover. When asked what she most enjoys about her work she had this to share, “I like helping someone with any questions or concerns they may have as well as listening to the stories about their horses or life in general. There are so many wonderful people in the American Saddlebred community and I have a great deal of respect and admiration for the passion, dedication and hard work that everyone puts forth to make the American Saddlebred such an amazing horse. While I will always just be a spectator, I do love seeing a gray American Saddlebred in the show ring.”
Patricia has lived her whole life in the state of Kentucky. She was born and raised in Loretto, home of Maker’s Mark Distillery, but now makes her home in the beautiful countryside of Cynthiana, Kentucky with her beloved husband Steve. In her spare time, Patricia enjoys working on do-it-yourself projects, taking walks with her two sweet dogs, Dottie and Sadie, getting together with family and friends, and gardening.
