Straight from the Horse’s Mouth… A Call to Action

If you’re interested in getting involved at ASHA, then this is your chance! We are looking for new members to be added to the ASHA Board of Directors and also accepting applications to join ASHA committees!

ASHA is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for setting policy, planning for the future, and ensuring the financial soundness of the association. The ASHA Board currently has 6 open director positions for 2021. If you’re interested in serving on the Board, you can nominate yourself or nominate others. All you have to do is fill out the ASHA Nomination for Board of Directors Form or speak to the "horse" itself by calling 859-259-3888 or emailing [email protected]. ASHA is also seeking applications for 2021 Committee Members. Committees are an essential part of the Board structure that help manage the Board’s work in smaller groups that can be more focused and efficient in dealing with specific issues. More information about the committees can be found on the ASHA Committee List. If you are interested in serving on a Committee, all you have to do is fill out the Committee Application Form or contact Sam by calling 859-259-3880 or emailing [email protected]. Our goal is to attract qualified candidates for the Board and the Committees that have a diverse set of skills, expertise and backgrounds. To achieve this goal, we need your help. Nominations for the Board of Directors close on October 18 and applications for 2021 Committee Members close on October 31.

David Mount, ASHA Executive Director
