Update from the ASR: FOAL REPORT: 2018 FOALING YEAR RESULTS

The American Saddlebred Registry would like to thank the owners of mares that were listed on 2017 stallion service reports that participated in the 2018 Foal Report Survey.  The Registry received responses for 37% of the mares that were listed on 2017 stallion service reports.  We appreciate this valuable information and will be conducting this survey annually over a five year period for succeeding foal crops. The following data breaks down those Foal Reports.

LIVE FOAL REPORT:

    Live foals bred using artificial insemination 57% Live foals bred through a natural service 23% Live foals bred through pasture breeding 18%

                TOTAL PERCENTAGE OF MARES BRED WHO PRODUCED A LIVE FOAL(S): 63%

NO FOAL REPORT:
